This video shoot will definitely go down as my most memorable this year!  Just Look at the GORGEOUS shots that we got!  And then there is the story that goes along with them.

First and most important though is that these two are fantastic to work with.  I don't know how it happens but I seriously have the best couples!!  They are so natural and beautiful together and it really showed through the footage and photos.

Then there was the little adventure that happened when it was all over.  We started a little late so we didn't start packing up our things until it was after dark.  Just not thinking, as I packed my stuff in the back of my car, I dropped my keys in as well.  Just like it always happened I didn't realize it until the moment I closed the trunk door.  AHH!

Now get ready to faint in shock.  I have a secret to tell... I think I am one of the only people left in the world that not only doesn't have a smart phone, but I also don't have a cell phone of my own.  Shocking I know!  Now pull yourself up off the ground and keep listening.   I share my cell phone with awesome wife, who just so happened to have the phone that night.

Luckily I was still with Lisa and Wesley and was able to use their phone to call someone to help me out.  Turns out the only help near Wendover was a tow truck.  So we waited for a tow truck to come only to have him get my car stuck in the mud as he was pulling me out.  So after a Superman Push from yours truly, we got the car out but the tow truck was afraid to stop so I told him to keep going and I just ran behind him hoping to catch up with hi as soon as he was on solid ground.  Well that guy just took off!  I ended up roaming the Salt Flats for a good 5 miles or so in the middle of the night.

Again, luckily my awesome couple had organized a search and rescue to team that eventually found me.  So at midnight I called my wife to tell her about the adventure and tell her I was now on my way.

Adventure over right?  No  that not how I roll.  So about 20 minutes down the road, my car start to break down.  I was able to get off the Highway and onto the road to Grantsville when the car gave up all together.  So there I sat, in the middle of nowhere, no cell phone and no help.  It wasn't until 3:15 that a car finally passed and came to my rescue.  I was able to use his phone to call my panicked wife and he gave me a lift to the closest gas station where I waited for my wife and the 5 kids to come pick me up.

I got home at 7am, totally exhausted and thinking I'm never going to do this again...then I looked at the footage.  beautiful.  ok.  it was all worth it.  Next time I will just bring a phone!

We had the amazing opportunity of shooting not one but two engagement sessions with Jeanette and Cody for there July wedding.  These to are so great to work with and I am so looking forward to the ceremony.  The first location we shot at was up the canyon near Pineview.  Cody's family owns the land and I was so excited to be able to shoot at a new location that had meaning to the couple.  The photos turned out great!

After reviewing the shots we decided that we could add a little more variety to what we already had with a trip out to Antelope Island.  I am so glad we did!  These second shots just had that touch of drama to them that we really needed to capture who this couple is.  Gorgeous!
